Afterschool Programs
Cub Club
Cub Club is Concord Hill School's extended day program. We offer faculty supervised activities and care for students in all grade levels during the afternoons until 6:00 PM. Students will enjoy a combination of outdoor play, planned activities, and opportunities for further investigation and learning. Cub Club is led by Leila Rajabzadeh, Concord Hill’s Director of Auxiliary Programs.
Cub Club Registration for Fall 2025 is now closed. The deadline to register was September 2.
If you would like to request care, please email Leila Rajabzadeh (lrajabzadeh@concordhill.org). There are no additional spaces on Tuesdays and Wednesdays due to high enrollment and staffing constraints.

Creative Canvas with Mrs. Coulton
In Creative Canvas, young artists will dive into the world of canvas painting, learning fun and foundational techniques like layering, blending, stippling, and brushwork. Each week, children will create their own unique artwork while exploring color mixing, texture, and composition. Inspired by famous artists and their styles, this class helps build creative confidence through hands-on painting and self-expression. We’ll wrap up the session with an art show, where children will proudly display their masterpieces for families and friends.

All Sports with Mr. Mease
All-Sports class will stress sportsmanship and team building while students play various sports such as soccer, hockey, basketball, kickball, handball, pinball, strengthening their athletic skills.

Chess Club with Silver Knights Chess Academy
Learn chess from Magnus Chess Academy! We teach more than 4,000 children each week. State and national champions have come from our programs, but most of our students are just looking to have fun! Class time is split between lesson and play. Lessons range from learning the rules to advanced tournament strategies, depending on the children. Play time is structured to pair each student against an opponent of similar skill. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments.

Creative Drama with Ms. Shoemaker & Mrs. Coulton
Join us for a fun-filled class where we’ll bring story-telling, music, creative expression, and visual art together! Children will develop their perspective taking, critical thinking, and expression skills as they explore the elements of storytelling and bring stories to life. The class will culminate in a short performance featuring an original story or a creative adaptation created by the children.

Taekwondo with Flying Kick
We teach our classes with a little love and a lot of discipline; the students work hard, but training is fun! The whole basis of Taekwondo training is to have children learn this martial art and the basics in a fun, enjoyable way, this helps children channel their mental and physical energy in a positive manner.

Sewing Club with Active Play
Give your child a head start in the world of fashion with our sewing afterschool class. Our experienced instructors provide age-appropriate projects and guidance, so your child can learn to sew in a safe and fun environment. Plus, we use plastic needles to give parents peace of mind while their children explore the world of fashion!

Nature Club
In this engaging course, young explorers will cultivate a love for the great outdoors and journal their adventures along the way. Through outdoor exploration, students will develop a deeper understanding of the natural world, honing observational skills and fostering a sense of wonder. Hands-on projects will encourage creativity and environmental stewardship, and focus on local plants and animals during the spring season. Join us as we explore, observe, and create in the magical realm of Nature Club!

Beginning Ballet with Ms. Mac
Dance with us! In this class we will learn basic ballet techniques and positions. We begin with time at the barre and then do center work. Dancers will develop an awareness of alignment and ballet vocabulary. Comfortable clothes and soft ballet shoes recommended. Class will culminate in a sharing of excerpts from The Nutcracker for parents.

Mystery Solvers with Amore Learning
Join our exciting after-school club, where young detectives will dive into the world of mystery-solving and code-breaking! Students will learn how to analyze clues, solve puzzles, decode secret messages, identify fingerprints, and explore the fascinating history of spies like Allan Pinkerton and codebreakers like Elizebeth Friedman, all while working together to crack a case each week. This hands-on class fosters critical thinking, teamwork, math, and creativity, making learning both fun and educational.
