Early Childhood Focus
Nurturing relationships and a strong culture of belonging are foundational at Concord Hill. Small by design, our size and model supports deep and lasting relationships that are leveraged to empower students, engage them, and expand their possibilities.
Dynamic Teaching and Learning
At Concord Hill, we foster a culture of thinking. Our faculty are experts in their craft and are passionately committed to ever expanding their knowledge of best practices in early childhood education.
An Anti-Bias Approach
The four tenets of the anti-bias approach: identity, diversity, justice, and action ground Concord Hill’s program. We affirm the identity of each community member, and children build the skills to communicate their point of view and understand that of others as they learn and play together.
The Integration of Social Emotional and Academic Learning
Social emotional and academic learning go hand in hand at Concord Hill and are intentionally integrated into all aspects of the school experience. The development of mindsets and habits enable deep thinking and complex problem-solving. Students come to identify as capable learners and leaders.
The Parternship Between School and Home
Concord Hill embraces the opportunity to partner with families during these critical early years of child development and schooling. Through frequent and regular communication, our proactive and accessible faculty and administration prioritize working closely with families to help children thrive.
The Importance of Joy and Play
Early childhood learning should be a time of wonder, playfulness, and joy. At Concord Hill, play is central to how children learn, particularly in how they cultivate and navigate friendships, experiment with ideas, and interpret the world around them.
