Cub Club
Cub Club is Concord Hill School's extended day program. We offer faculty supervised activities and care for students in all grade levels during the afternoons until 6:00 PM. Students will enjoy a combination of outdoor play, planned activities, and opportunities for further investigation and learning. Cub Club is led by Leila Rajabzadeh, Concord Hill’s Director of Auxiliary Programs.
Families receiving financial aid should follow the instructions sent separately for Cub Club registration.
Cub Club Registration Deadline is August 26th.

How to Register for ASA
Step 1: Explore Offerings
- Check out what's available for your child's age group
- Note the days, times, and activity descriptions
Step 2: Register for ASAs
- Go to the registration link provided in each listing
- Follow the prompts to enroll in your selected class
- You'll receive a confirmation email once your registration is complete
- Note: Some classes fill quickly - register early!
Step 3: Determine Cub Club Needs
- Once you know your child's ASA schedule:
- Wrap-Around Care - needed after an ASA ends (e.g. 4:30 - 6pm)
- Stand-Alone Care - starts at school dismissal on days your child does not have an ASA (e.g. dismissal - 6pm)
- Then register with the Cub Club link above

Teddy Bear Playdate with Growing Minds
Children engage in imaginative dramatic play with their favorite stuffed animal while being guided by licensed child therapists from Growing Minds Center for Child & Family Therapy. Each week features a new play theme—such as visiting the doctor, getting ready for bed, saying goodbye, caring for someone who is sick, or celebrating a birthday. Through these playful, therapist-led experiences, children build emotional literacy by identifying and expressing feelings, practicing empathy and nurturing, strengthening frustration tolerance, developing self-regulation skills, and learning mindfulness techniques. Every small-group class reflects Growing Minds’ relationship-centered approach, thoughtfully designed to foster confidence, peer interaction, and social-emotional growth in a warm, supportive environment.

Creative Canvas with Mrs. Coulton
Welcome to Creative Canvas! Throughout the fall session, students will explore a wide variety of artistic materials and techniques while creating unique works of art inspired by both classic and contemporary artists. Through painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media, children will experiment with different creative processes, build confidence in expressing their ideas, and develop an appreciation for art from around the world. Each project encourages imagination, problem-solving, and joyful self-expression.

Clay Creations with Togetherhood
Join us as we explore this magical medium and create kooky keychains, beautiful bookmarks, pretty planters, jazzy jewelry, sparkly suncatchers, and more! Each project introduces new techniques while leaving plenty of room for imagination and creativity. This class is full of sensory fun and artistic exploration. Polymer clay is like “grown-up play-dough”- incredibly versatile and super fun to use. Students will discover how this medium can be molded, shaped, and transformed into both practical items and whimsical works of art. It’s a wonderful way to bring silly, playful, and imaginative ideas to life, and every student will leave with unique creations they can feel proud of. Please note: A materials fee will be included.

Welcome to Creative Canvas! Throughout the fall session, young artists will discover the joy of creating through hands-on art experiences using a variety of materials and mediums. Inspired by famous artists and age-appropriate art techniques, children will paint, draw, build, and explore while strengthening fine motor skills, creativity, and self-confidence. Each class emphasizes the process of making art.

Builders & Makers Club with Growing Minds
Children will unleash their creativity while being guided by licensed child therapists from Growing Minds Center for Child & Family Therapy. Through hands-on building projects, they will create (and demolish!) collaborative masterpieces using blocks, cardboard boxes, Magna-Tiles, natural materials, and recycled items. As they build together, children develop problem-solving, teamwork, communication, planning, sharing, and turn-taking skills while strengthening fine and gross motor development, sensory exploration, emotional regulation, confidence, and peer relationships. Every small-group class reflects Growing Minds’ playful, relationship-centered approach, thoughtfully designed to support social-emotional growth in a warm and supportive environment.

Tae Kwon Do with Flying Kick
We teach our classes with a little love and a lot of discipline; the students work hard, but training is fun! The whole basis of Taekwondo training is to have children learn this martial art and the basics in a fun, enjoyable way, this helps children channel their mental and physical energy in a positive manner.

Kids Can Knit Club with Togetherhood
This beginner-friendly class is the perfect introduction to the art of knitting. Students will learn essential skills such as casting on stitches, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and binding off. With step-by-step guidance, young knitters will gain confidence while practicing these techniques on simple, creative projects. Along the way, students will enjoy a welcoming and social environment where they can share their progress and celebrate their creations. By the end of the course, each child will take home a handmade project they can feel proud of- building both skills and a love for fiber arts.

Magic Suitcase with Imagination Stage
What will we find in our Magic Suitcase today? Take a look inside for curious clues as to where we’re off to today! Perhaps it’s a chilly trip to the Arctic or a short journey to our kitchens to prepare a delicious family feast. During our Magic Suitcase class students will use simple props and costumes to create characters and bring their own stories to life. Connections to stories are made through dramatic play, music, movement and visual art. Classes encourage creative expression and promote confidence and self esteem while working on skills such as active listening and sharing. So pack your suitcases and join us on a magical journey.

Beginning Ballet with Ms. Mac
Dance with us! In this class we will learn basic ballet techniques and positions. We begin with time at the barre and then do center work. Dancers will develop an awareness of alignment and ballet vocabulary. Comfortable clothes and soft ballet shoes are recommended. Class will culminate in a sharing of excerpts from The Nutcracker for parents.

Ninja & Tumbling Club with My Gym
Our young Gymnasts develop strength, flexibility and agility as our teachers coach the kids through warmups, relays, conditioning exercises, basic gymnastics skills and obstacle courses. My Gym teachers use positive reinforcement for self-reliance and following directions while kids learn tumbling and ninja skills. We also make class fun with games and relays all designed to enhance physical and social-emotional development.

Chess Club with Silver Knights Chess Academy
Learn chess with Silver Knights Chess Academy! We teach more than 4,000 children each week. State and national champions have come from our programs, but most of our students are just looking to have fun! Class time is split between lesson and play. Lessons range from learning the rules to advanced tournament strategies, depending on the children. Play time is structured to pair each student against an opponent of similar skill. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments.

Acting Adventures with Imagination Stage
Calling all future movie stars and Broadway legends! It’s time to get dramatic in the best way possible. Using creative play as a springboard, students develop an understanding of fundamental acting and performance skills such as speaking with a loud, clear voice and exploring their stage presence! Students focus these skills in crafting short scenes and skits learning the beginning-middle-end story structure. Through scene work, games, and acting exercises, students build their acting vocabulary and character building skills. The semester wraps up with a fun classroom sharing, where students perform short scenes for families on the last day of class.
