Position Overview

Concord Hill School seeks a Long-Term Substitute Classroom Teacher to support our second grade classroom from May 1 to June 6, 2026. This full-time, temporary role ensures continuity of instruction and classroom routines while a faculty member is on extended leave.

The Long-Term Substitute will work within an established co-teaching model, implementing existing curriculum and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a stable, supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement established lesson plans and curriculum
  • Support consistent classroom routines and expectations
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and grade-level colleagues
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom community
  • Communicate professionally with faculty and administrators

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Education or related field preferred)
  • Experience teaching early childhood or elementary students
  • Comfort working in a co-teaching environment
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusive, relationship-based teaching

Position Details

  • Start Date: May 2026
  • Compensation: Competitive daily rate ($180-$200/day), commensurate with experience
