Concord Hill School, a leader in early childhood education since 1965, is seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Cub Club Extended Day Teacher to join our vibrant community for the 2025–2026 school year. This part-time role offers a wonderful opportunity to support young children in a nurturing environment that values creativity, hands-on learning, and outdoor play.

Position Details

  • Schedule:
    • Monday & Wednesday: 2:15–6:15 PM
    • Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:15–6:15 PM
    • Additional hours available on early dismissal days (12:00–4:45 PM) and full-day coverage days (8:00 AM–4:45 PM)
  • Start Date: August 2025
  • Compensation: $19–$23/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Status: Part-time, hourly, non-exempt

Responsibilities

The Cub Club Extended Day Teacher will create a safe, engaging, and joyful environment for students at the end of the school day. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and engaging students in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Preparing and supervising snack, with attention to allergies and dietary needs
  • Leading creative, age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, active games, and imaginative play
    Supporting child-led free choice and outdoor play
  • Setting up and cleaning up daily materials, snack, and the parent sign-out area
  • Taking accurate attendance at both school and after-school activity dismissals
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure a smooth, caring, and well-run program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in after-school programs, summer camps, or other early childhood settings
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, or 90-Hour Child Care Certification/45-Hour School-Age or Preschool Curriculum Certificate preferred but not required
  • Previous experience working with young children
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A warm, flexible, and patient approach with a good sense of humor
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and staff
