Concord Cubs

The Concord Cubs program at Concord Hill School is expertly crafted for children aged 18 to 30 months and their caretakers. This dynamic, twice-weekly experience is designed to ignite a passion for play, discovery, and exploration, significantly enhancing children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Simultaneously, caretakers acquire crucial knowledge about early childhood development and practical strategies to cultivate curiosity and a lasting enthusiasm for learning.

Each trimester, the Cubs will embark on an exploration of a carefully selected book, with lessons thoughtfully centered around its themes. This year’s books include Goodnight Moon in the fall, The Snowy Day in the winter, and Freight Train in the spring. On Wednesdays, the program features a special music session that builds on the weekly theme—deepening the children's connection to the story through rhythm, movement, and song.

Join us at Concord Hill School to create lasting memories and lay the foundation for lifelong learning!

Music & Movement

Each Wednesday, Cubs and their caretakers take part in a joyful Music and Movement session that brings the week’s story to life through song, rhythm, and creative movement. Led by an experienced early childhood music educator, these sessions help children develop language, coordination, and listening skills while deepening their connection to the trimester’s book. Whether mimicking the hush of Goodnight Moon, the swirls of The Snowy Day, or the rhythm of Freight Train, children and adults alike explore how music supports learning, expression, and early literacy in fun and meaningful ways.
