Job Description

2026-2027 School Year | Part-Time

About Concord Hill School

At Concord Hill School, we value and cultivate children’s curiosity in the early years of development. Through a dynamic program rooted in nurturing relationships, we inspire the personal and academic growth of a community of lifelong learners. Since 1965, our mission has guided us in fostering a vibrant environment where students discover their strengths, embrace challenges, and thrive as individuals.

Our core values, care, connection, curiosity, and courage, are at the heart of all we do, shaping our program and creating a joyful, inclusive community. As part of our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and care (DEIC), we foster a school culture that values each individual’s unique identity and actively engages in anti-bias education.

The Opportunity

Concord Hill School is seeking a warm, creative, and collaborative early childhood educator to join Concord Cubs, our caregiver-and-child program for children ages 18-30 months.

Cubs offers our youngest learners and their caregivers a joyful introduction to school through play, exploration, storytelling, art, music, movement, and connection. Working collaboratively under the leadership of our Cubs Program Manager and alongside our Cubs Associate Teacher, the Cubs Teacher will help create a welcoming environment where children can explore at their own pace while caregivers gain a deeper understanding of their child’s learning and development.

The Concord Cubs Teacher will:

  • Work collaboratively with the Cubs Program Manager and Cubs Associate Teacher to plan and facilitate a joyful, developmentally appropriate program.
  • Create engaging experiences rooted in play, storytelling, art, music, movement, sensory exploration, and hands-on learning.
  • Create a warm, welcoming environment where young children feel safe, connected, and excited to explore.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and their caregivers.
  • Support caregivers in understanding and celebrating children’s development, learning, and emerging independence.
  • Thoughtfully prepare experiences that invite curiosity, creativity, language development, social connection, and discovery.
  • Prepare materials and the learning environment and contribute to family communication, documentation, and ongoing program planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that Cubs reflects the values and approach of Concord Hill’s broader early childhood program.

We’re Looking for an Educator Who

  • Finds genuine joy in working with toddlers and their caregivers.
  • Understands the developmental needs of children ages 18-30 months and how young children learn through play, relationships, and hands-on exploration.
  • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative teaching team.
  • Builds warm, trusting relationships with children, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Brings creativity, flexibility, warmth, and a sense of fun to their work.
  • Values reflection, communication, and shared planning.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field and has relevant experience working with young children.
