Clay
Students discover the pleasing medium of clay and learn about texture, pattern, and design as they explore hand-building techniques—for example, pinch, slab, and coil. Their clay pieces will be kiln-fired using glazes and underglazes safe for dinnerware. All materials are supplied. Students are encouraged to use their imaginations to create useful objects, such as plates, cups, or containers, as well as more fanciful sculptural objects where one’s imagination is the only limit. Clay Workshop is offered to children in Kindergarten through third grade.
Tae Kwon Do
Students enrolled in Tae Kwon Do learn about the Korean art of self defense in a safe, positive, and caring manner. The teachers respect the abilities of each student and encourage them to excel and achieve to their individual potential. Tae Kwon Do is offered to children in Kindergarten through third grade and held on Fridays after school is dismissed at 12:15 p.m.
