The Concord Hill Board of Trustees approves new Strategic Plan.

Posted June 10, 2010

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
“Strengthening our Community of Learners”

Forty-five years after Concord Hill’s founders began a little school with twenty students in primary and kindergarten, our school is a mature, well-regarded and successful institution. Years of careful stewardship and thoughtful leadership have allowed us to remain committed to our mission of educating the young child.

In many ways, this is a very traditional endeavor: there are letters and numbers to be taught, cooperation to be fostered, and exploration to be encouraged. But within that framework, Concord Hill can and should seek to support learning and growth in all its forms in order to create a dynamic institution that supports all members of our community.

This strategic plan, and the strategic thinking that went into its creation, focuses on strengthening our community of learners – students, teachers, staff, and parents – knowing that each cannot succeed in isolation.

Using our Mission and Diversity Statements, along with our five core values -- knowledge, character, respect, play and community -- to guide our thinking, we have created a living document that will guide us for the next several years as we pursue our commitment to continuous learning and improvement in all areas of Concord Hill School.
