Diversity

CHS Diversity Statement

Concord Hill School seeks families, faculty and staff of all types and backgrounds who reflect the diversity of the Washington metropolitan area.  We believe that our young students are enriched by a community that includes people of diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives.  In keeping with our five core tenets of knowledge, character, respect, play and community, we incorporate themes of diversity throughout our academic and social curriculum at all grade levels.  Appreciation of diversity in our school and in the greater community is essential to providing an excellent education that will prepare our students not only for their next schools but also for success in an interconnected world.

Diversity Committee Mission
The mission of the Diversity Committee is to support Concord Hill School in accomplishing its commitment to seek a diverse school community.  The Diversity Committee facilitates an enriched learning environment through the exploration, understanding and appreciation of differences among all CHS parents, students, and staff. The Diversity Committee welcomes participation from the CHS community.  Our school embraces all aspects of a diverse society, including race, ethnicity, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, and family structure.
